Smoron The Stone Departer

Jonas Ropponen presents a solo exhibition of prints, drawings and narrative via his alter-ego, the aeons-old sorcerer, Smoron. The artist’s wizard ally was once a troll trapped inside a boulder who managed to permanently find a way out of his mineral domain. He made contact with his artist friend many millennia later on his travels, and now collaborates on what Ropponen believes to be art, but Smoron says are spells for a sick world.
